Coinciding with their trip to Warren, the popular Boston band Dropkick Murphys stopped for a meet and greet with local union representatives.

The union and the company have come to a tentative agreement, more information to follow

The bargaining committee has continued to meet with the company on June 20th, 21st, and 22nd. The committee is working dilligently, despite difficulties, to reach a workable solution, and hope to have something to bring back to the membership soon. However, the company has requested to postpone some of next week's negotiations in favor of end-of-month shipping priorities. The bargaining committee will be back at the table on Monday as well as later in the week. Ongoing issues continue to revolve around flexibility, among others.

The bargaining committee has continued to meet with representatives of the company throughout the week of June 12th. After more productive initial meetings, complexities have arisen on some issues leading the committee to believe that they are farther from an agreeable solution than initially anticipated. The committee intends to continue their hard work to bring both sides closer together. The major issues are contracting out and flexibility.

After two meeting, the bargaining committee is proud to announce that the strike authorization has passed unanimously and enthusiastically.

There will be two meetings on June 13th. In addition to the standard meeting, there will be an additional meeting at 7:30AM that day. There will be an authorization vote at each meeting

The union and company have wrapped up most non-economic discussions. The remaining issues will be moved to economic negotiations beginning June 13th. We have reached a tentative agreement on the attendance policy which will benefit our members by enhancing work-life balance.

All agreements are tentative and subject to change with the final package.

This week, we were honored with an award from the United Way of Trumbull County. We would also like to recognize Todd Weddell, who was presented with his very own "Good Guy Award" by the United Way in recognition of the work he has done for them. Congratulations!

The union has continued to meet with the company and they are making strides towards an on-site benefits representative and are continuing to work with the company on other non-economic issues, such as working conditions.

Your negotiating committee will meet with the company again on June 1st and 2nd
