New Business
Cards and gift cards to hand out to veterans. Other mills are doing a “Vet Wall” to thank those who have served with names and/or photos. Put two displays, one on each side? Maintenance breakroom? Near Nurse’s office? Other ideas?
Debarking Drum potential for failure? It is in Gate 1.
Christmas Invites-need to get printed
Date to vote for the Master? Wait for TA to get a voting window. Sally Fiestel will follow up.
Insurance premiums go up, we will still be at 20%, deductibles going up 100 the first year, up to 650, and then 750. Out of pocket maximums will also be increasing in steps. Company is responsible for printing out the details. Once we have those details, we will schedule a vote.
-scare tactic letter from insurance. Being used as leverage to get their best contract.
-do not get caught sleeping
-you cannot vape in the mill. It is a fireable offence. What about chew? No chew spit-we are a food grade mill.
-is there any way to rearrange the wood yard schedule to make it more fair? Sally will look into her files to see if she has a rotation that might be easier. They don’t work overnights because of the noise in the neighborhood.
