Call to Order

Moment of silence for Pete Baumgart.

President Cindy Czappa called the meeting to order at 7pm at the Labor Hall. 12 members were present. All officers were present.

Reading of the Minutes

President Czappa called the regular monthly meeting to order at 7pm at the Labor Hall. Nine members were present. No new applications this month, leaving us with 237 members in good standing with 2 non-members, Justin Derezinski and Josiah Brandt. Motioned to send up to 3 women to the quarterly Women of Steel meeting January 17. Motioned to send Treasurer Bray to Financial Officer training. WOS drive for the Family Center. Holiday party is this Saturday!

 

Application for New Members

No new applications or changes to membership this month. 239 members in good standing with two non-members Justin Derezinski and Josiah Brandt.

E-Board Monthly Meeting Notes 12.26.23

-Greivance for missing a safety meeting before your scheduled shift. If you make up the meeting, would it no longer be notated as late?

-6 new hires starting, 12 hopefully at the end of the month

-couple of contractor injuries and one kraft injury

-WOS meeting 12/27 at goodfellas

-Eboard recommends to tip our Holiday Party DJ $150. Trustee Janicki motion to tip DJ $150, Steward Beckman second. Motion Carried

 

Treasurer’s Report

A detailed list of incomes and expenses were read, leaving an ending balance of $42,791.32 and savings of $175,992.30.

Trustee Repinski motion to accept as read, Trustee Janicki second. Motion carried.

 

Old Business

-discuss charitable gaming license for 50/50 raffles at eboard. -check in file cabinets in office for charter paperwork. Was originally 59 on paper side and 52 in kraft. 52 ran out of money and got dissolved. Upiu-originating 2003 USW?

-WOS donation drive

-Next Gen conference March 3-8

-United Steelworkers National Paper Bargaining Conference Aug 5-8 in Austin, TX

 

New Business

-WOS collection drive for Family Center. Vote to support and donate

Secretary Lieber Motion to send check of $350 to family Center to aid toward the Family Center Drive. Treasurer Bray Second. Discussion: amounts over $100 need to go to eboard first for recommendation, then to monthly meeting in the future. Motion Carried.

Jen Kelnhofer discussed the WOS donation to the adopt a grandparent. Our gifts went to Edgewater.

-verbal warning issued to wood room crews for chipper downtime 5+ hours. It was decided to run the dock because it was over 100% full on SW side. The 5 hours written down now over two different shifts. Spoke with Shane over the incident, and the warning was retracted.
