Call to Order

President Czappa called the meeting to order at 7pm. 15 members were in attendance.

Reading of the Minutes

Our last meeting was Nov 4, 2025 with 14 members in attendance.

We received invoices from RCS Software and Ajays DJ.

We had applications for membership and withdrawals, leaving us with a monthly membership total of 238, with four non-members Peggy Drislinger, Justin Derezinski, Josiah Brandt, and John Krause.

We voted to send up to 5 to the quarterly WOS meeting.

We voted to send 3 to the sub-6 council meeting.

We voted to waive new member initiation fees.

 

Janicki Motion to accept minutes as read, Kelnhofer second. Motion carried.

 

Communication and Bills

International WOS meeting in Toronto

-eboard conversation was around sending up to 5, did not vote on it. Amongst WOS, come up with who would go and a budget for the expense.

 

Treasurer’s Report

A detailed list of incomes and expenses were read, leaving an ending cash balance of $19.044.68 and savings of $152,523.37

Janicki Motion to accept report as read, Kelnhofer second. Motion carried.

 

Initiation of New Members

No new applications, giving us 237 members in good standing.

  • Grievance Committee (stewards):

Any Grievance updates?

-update on grievance for not getting paid OT on days off. 

 

  • Veterans of Steel:

-Quilts of Valor Stockings for Our House. Waiting to get headcount from nursing home. Eboard recommendation to spend up to $200 on stocking fillers. Beckman Motion, Collins second. Motion carried.

  • Next Gen

 

  • Women of Steel:

International WOS in Toronto-possibility to get the rooms paid in advance by check from local. Airfare for 4 would be very similar to driving for cost.

 

  • Eboard:

-will have a 50/50 raffle at holiday party to go towards holiday party bill

-recommendation to pay our SOAR chapter to man the voting Dec 4

-feminine hygiene products in restrooms

            -sharps containers are being installed within the mill

-Eboard recommendation to send President Czappa to the WOS Directors meeting 

 

 

Unfinished Business

 

New Business

-Master Agreement discussion

-discussion on 50/50 raffle and where the other 50% will go to

-Crofton, BC shutting down

-forecasted downtime for Nekoosa will be staggered, with no plans of layoffs

-hoping for markets to be back to normal by May

-call Scott Morrison to make sure Wood Yard Grievance gets paid out. Cody Beckman will email Morrison and Shane Adam to make sure it gets paid out.

-Lindsey has asked for assistance with Shining Star program. Bray motion to spend $100 on Shining Star, Beckman second. Motion carried
