            Last week three of our members attended the 2024 Next GEN conference in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.

Celebrating Labor Day 2022

           On Thursday, September 1st, 2022 USW Local 9187 hosted its 1st Labor Day Lunch Cookout and invited all employees at Stark County Job and Family Services to attend.

WOS Completes Drive for DVPI

          Over the past few months, the USW Local 9187 Women of Steel (WOS) Committee held a collection drive for the Domestic Violent Project, Inc. (DVPI).

Local 9187 Honors Americas Heros

This Memorial Day some of our Union members and their families took to the streets of canton with member of USW Local 1123 to honor our fallen heroes. Memorial Day is an important day for our Union! We must always remember to take time out of our negotiated three-day weekend to remember those who paid the ultimate sacrifice for our freedom including the freedom to freely organize and negotiate. A special thanks to the members who participated with us this year and hope to see more members join us next year.

USW 9187 Shows Pride

On, Saturday June 11th 2022 USW 9187 took to the streets of downtown Canton to participate in the innagural Stark Pride. The event was one of the largest events held in downtown in many years. USW 9187 was a Bronze Level Sponser for this inagural event and had a  community both set up where members of the community could receive a made with pride wristband, get pictures in our phito both and learn about Unions and LGBTQ+ protections in the workplace. Our booth was a hit. Many times throughout the day we had lines of people waiting to get into the tent.
