The Green Book contract negotiations are underway. We had our first meetings with the company on April 16 & 17. Our initial proposals focused on establishing rules and the non-economic issues important to you. We will be back at the table on May 6 & 7. The Negotiating Committee just returned from the Collective Bargaining Conference.

The Green Book Negotiating Committee met this week to draft proposals, which they will be presenting when negotiations start next week. Contract negotiations with Essentia Health for the Green Book unit will be starting next week. Your union has been gearing up and is planning on sending out regular updates as things start to unfold. For our first update, we want to share with you the list of who is on your Negotiating Committee. We'll also be sending this update out over our text alert network, so if you don't get a text about this later today, reach out to us so that we can make sure you're signed up to get those alerts!

The most important work we do as a union involves bargaining and enforcing good contracts to secure fair wages, dependable benefits, and safe working conditions. However, whether we like it or not, workplace health and safety, wage and overtime regulations, retirement security, even our right to organize and bargain collectively, are all tied to local, state, and federal laws and the people making them.
