USW Local 12-9477 and USW Local 187 Health & Safety Committee Training

Members of USW Local 12-9477 and USW Local 187 recently participated in Health and Safety Committee training conducted by the United Steelworkers International. This training provided committee members with valuable tools and knowledge to identify workplace hazards, strengthen safety programs, and advocate for safer working conditions for all members.

The course focused on hazard recognition, accident prevention, workers’ rights, incident investigation, and the role of union health and safety representatives in maintaining a safe and healthy workplace. Through this training, committee members gained practical skills to help ensure that safety remains a top priority at our worksite.

USW Local 12-9477 is committed to protecting the health and safety of our members and appreciates the continued support and expertise provided by the United Steelworkers International Union. By investing in training and education, we strengthen our ability to represent workers and promote a culture of safety both on the job and throughout our community.
