This week, Glen Klamut and I went to our nation's capital as part of the USW Rapid Response conference. Steelworkers gathered from all over the country to learn, rally, and meet with legislators to share with them our strong feelings on the legislative issues of the day. Glen, Subdistrict Director Jamie Walker, and I were able to meet with Rep. Dave Joyce, Senator Sherrod Brown, and a senior policy strategist from JD Vance's office to discuss refunding and restaffing the NLRB, Reauthorizing TAA, minimum staffing at nursing homes, and a habdful of other issues.
