Ron Fancsal

Ron hired in as a mechanic at the #5 Coke Battery, on Zug Island, in 1995. He evntually made his way to the Cold Mill where he was a planner at the Tandem Mill. From there Ron bid to the Machine Shop where he currently works today.

Ron has taken multiple classes in Unionism at Wayne State and through the USW.

Ron has held many positions for the Union. Including, Safety Rep, Trustee, Financial Secretary and currently Grievance Chair. 

Ron is a dedicated member who has always looked out for the best intersest of his co-workers and members of Local 1299. You can find Ron as an active participant for many of the Locals events, such as, Labor Day parades, Rouge Days Parade, Childrens Chrismas Party, Halloween events and the annual Local picnic, to name a few.
