The plant restart is being pushed back another week to 5/18. This is our new tenative date for all shifts to return. There is a chance that it could be pushed back again to 5/25 but at this time 5/18 seems to be the most likely scenario. The Union and company will be working together this week and next to determain staffing levels to make sure that the company stays appropriately staffed for their orders while allowing those members who still have health and safety concerns to remain out. The Union will provide another update early next week. As always please make sure you are checking your phones and emails in case the company calls you to return to work either voluntarily or if you are mandated to return based on seniority and job class.
Those members who are currently working this week, you should plan to continue working next week as well. If you are currently not working and wish to return to work, please reach out to Savanna Sessler or Dian Fellows to state your intent to return.
The company and Union have also been working together in developing new health and safety measures to continue to limit exposer and remain safe at work. Please click the link HERE to view the powerpoint information on the new health and safety proceedures put in place.
