    The Alliance of Healthcare Unions in partnership with the Coalition of Kaiser Permanente Unions have created a weekly newsletter, "MeFit", as a positive resource for us to use.  The information within the newletter are subjects related to overall well being, health, healty recipes, meditations, financial wellness, kids activities, workouts, useful tips, current events, etc.  "A one stop shop to help staff stay positive and a nice break from COVID emails," stated Marci Acevedo, contentent creator.

    STRATTEC COVID-19 UPDATE 4/6

    Part 1: April Production Plan & Shut Down

    4/5 - 4/11

    3 shift production/5 days – About 40% of Associates (headcount ~90)

    Will be producing service orders, International demand & backlog in key areas

    4/12 - 4/19

    Complete shutdown Mon-Fri

    4/20 - 4/26

    Complete shutdown Mon-Fri

    Will have 4-6 Tool Room personnel for PM backlog only

    4/27 - 5/3

    Tentative 1 shift production in stamping/plating

    Will have 10-12 Maintenance/Tool Room personnel for key PM’s & 2 Shipping/Materials

    5/4 & Beyond

    3 shift production/5 days – Will manage personnel levels based on demand (~80%)

    May perform weekly shutdowns every 2nd week or every 3rd week based on demand.

    Any excess maintenance labor will be applied to continuous improvement & layout changes

    Members wanting to work any of the following weeks should reach out to Dian Fellows ([email protected] or 414-247-3589) to let the company know you are available and willing to work. Anyone who does not reach out to the company will be considered to be taking the shut down and returning to work 5/4/20 (Sunday night for 3rd shift and Monday for 1st and 2nd shift) for the restart of regular production.

                Members who did not work in the month of April will start their COBRA coverage for insurance this month. Your premium payments are due at the end of the month to the company.     Notice to Essentia Workers: As a result of this pandemic, a lot of you are being sent home on low need. If you choose to volunteer for this (VTO) that is your right, but if you are being mandated to go home (MTO) we are asking that you keep track of how many days/incidents/hours that this happens to you. Our contracts have a cap of how much MTO you can be made to use. Once you hit your cap, we ask that you notify your supervisor that you are at that cap, and that you also let us here at the union know at [email protected].
