Our new website is up and running. Please check it out. Its full of information!! A calendar with all scheduled events and membership meetings, the weekly crewing schedule, the collective agreement, seniority list and much more.
The company has scheduled people on specific jobs to help find better practices and increase production. John Young, Ed Bratetich and Tyler Feruglio will be helping Cleaners, oil temper, and wire drawers for the next month. Please accept the help and the ideas for better training practices.
The pay issues continue and I will be filing a policy grievance on Monday. If you have a pay issue, please let HR know asap and send me or one of the Chief Stewards a message or call to let us know so that we can follow up. The company is not moving fast enough on these!!
The Union is in the process of filing for arbitration on clauses 5.11 and 5.12 of the collective agreement. Our staff rep, Tom Walsh has contacted the company and both sides have agreed on an arbitrator. Tom will be asking for a date to arbitrate, on Monday and setting up the subpoenas of witnesses as well.
If you have purchased a square for the football pool, please pay before noon of November 22 as your square will go back up for sale.
