Join the trash-talking ballers of Local 8888 who will be competing in the union’s first annual 3-on-3 Basketball Tournament Jam on Sat., October 26, 2019. Players will be competing for prize money and the winning team will be honored with its name on a new trophy that will be displayed in the union hall. The runner up team will receive medallions. This is a family event put together by the Organizing Committee to bring Local 8888 members together to have fun together and build unity. There will be food vendors as well as a bounce house for kids. A 50-50 raffle will be held. The fun starts Saturday, Oct. 26, from 10am – 4pm, at the Dorris Miller Community Center in Newport News (2814 Wickham Ave.). Fans are encouraged to wear the jersey or cap of their favorite team.
