We are the United Steelworkers, North America’s largest industrial union. We’re 1.2 million members and retirees strong in the United States, Canada and the Caribbean. We proudly represent men and women who work in nearly every industry there is.
Jimmy was elected to our first E Board in 2017 as Guide/Guard. He was re-elected and sworn in on May 9, 2018 as Guide/Guard. In April 2019, he was appointed as a Trustee. Jimmy also serves on our safety team.
Andre was appointed and sworn in as Trustee on January 12, 2021 after the recent Trustee resigned. Andre was again sworn in on May 12, 2022 after elections to serve a 3 year term.
Andrew was appointed and first sworn in as treasure on December 8, 2020 due to our recent treasurer retiring. He was sworn in again after elections as Treasurer on May 12, 2021.
Tim was sworn into office on May 9, 2018. Tim has 30+ years of service at Howmet. He served on the negotiation team while our first contract was being negotiated. Tim also served as a shop steward until he was elected President. He currently serves on the arbitraition team and has attended USW training at Virginia Tech and other various USW sponsored trainings.
Cynthia was elected as Financial Secretary when the first E Board was formed in 2017. She was re-elected and sworn in on May 9, 2018. Cynthia has been an employee at Howmet for 34+ years. She accepted the opportunity to be Financial Secretary because she felt she missed her calling in life as a CPA and was excited to work with the USW and be educated in all that a Financial Secretary is responsible for.
Sandi was elected as recording secretary when the first E Board was formed in 2017. She was re-elected and sworn in on May 9, 2018. Sandi has been employed at Howmet for 30 years. Sandi enjoys helping people and wants to be a part in making a better workplace for all employees. Sandi is also the chair for the locals Women of Steel committee.
