The Local 2705 recently wrapped up collections for its 2019 School Supply Drive. Bins were placed thoughout the property and items that were donated were collected this last week. Grandma's in the Park, Valentini's, Mesaba Club, Radko and Trenz Hair Studio allowed the committee to place bins in their respective businesses to collect school supplies that their employees and customers donated. Walgreen's, Lowe's and L&M Supply donated items directly from their shelves. Altobelli Peterson Construction, Vertex Roofing, HIbbing Chrysler Center, Jim's Sports Club, and Sidelines Bar all made monetary donations directly to the committee for the drive. Super One Foods in Hibbing collected over $3000.00 in donations from customers at the checkouts for the drive. All monetary donations will be used by the committee to purchase school supplies during the week of September 9th and will be brought to the area schools the same week. More updates on this drive are to come.
