Le 22 août 2019 - Votre Section locale 1944 souhaite vous remercier pour vos appels téléphoniques signalant à nos bureaux l’interruption de la distribution des courriels Telus.net. Soyez assuré que notre priorité absolue est votre emploi et la protection de celui-ci. Votre syndicat s’est mis en contact avec Telus pour discuter de l’affectation de cadres dans des postes en relation directe avec les clients. Naturellement, nous nous opposons à ces affectations.
Toutefois, l’article 8.03 de la convention collective permet à la Compagnie d’affecter des employés, n’appartenant pas à l’unité de négociation, à des postes relevant de l’unité de négociation en cas d’urgence ou dans d’autres circonstances imprévisibles ou inévitables. En l’occurrence, il s’agissait de l’une de ces circonstances ; la Section locale 1944 ne déposera donc pas de grief.
Par ailleurs, dans son effort pour remédier au problème, la Compagnie offre des heures supplémentaires aux travailleuses et travailleurs se trouvant dans les zones concernées et qui souhaiteraient apporter leur contribution par le travail.
Dans nos discussions en cours avec la Compagnie tandis que nous surveillons de près la situation actuelle, nous reconnaissons qu’il s’agit d’une mesure temporaire qui devrait prendre fin dans un avenir proche. Encore une fois, nous vous remercions de votre vigilance et de votre attention à ce qu’il se passe dans votre milieu de travail. Chacun d’entre vous est un protecteur de notre convention collective et vos efforts sont appréciés. Continuez votre excellent travail !
