We are the United Steelworkers, North America’s largest industrial union. We’re 1.2 million members and retirees strong in the United States, Canada and the Caribbean. We proudly represent men and women who work in nearly every industry there is.
Today your Negotiating team continued meeting with the company. So good progress was made by the end of the day and have multiple things to review. The main Negotiating team will meet tomorrow to go over what we have and will meet with the company again on July 1st.
Please talk with your brother and sisters of the union around you to make sure they too are signed up for these email notices. We will be sending out updates after every meeting, along with updating our website.

Minutes of Previous Meeting - Bob Walters made the motion to waive the reading of the May 2019 general membership meeting minutes and accept them as written.
Communications
Our local will be sponsoring 4 members to participate in Local 1014 Golf outing. It will be a raffle draw. Members that are drawn will be notified.
Chuck Mosely sent us a letter inviting us to his annual golf outing and steak fry, on Friday, July 12, 2019. He is also asking for our support to be his voice in the general assembly. Bob Walters made the motion on the excutive boards recommendation to sponsor the event for $150.00.
Jasper County Democrat Central Committee is hosting their annual golf outing on August 26, 2019, and asking for our support. Bob Walters made the motion on the executive boards recommendation to sponsor a Green for $100.00.
WOS District 7 Conference is August 7, 8 and 9, 2019. The Committee is asking to send 4 women to represent our local. Bob Walters made the motion on the executive boards recommendation to sponsor 4 women from our local for this event.
Officers Report
The Financial Secretary Report for the month of June 2019 was presented by Financial Secretary DonTaylor. After completion of the reading Don Taylor moved the Financial Secretary Report for June 2019 be accepted as read.
The lost time and expenses report for the month of June 2019 was presented by Financial Secretary DonTaylor. At the conclusion of the report Don Taylor moved that the lost time and expenses for June 2019 be paid.
The Treasurer's Report for the Month of June 2019 was presented by Treasurer Greg Ford. After completion of the reading. Greg Ford moved the Treasurer's Report for June 2019 be accepted as read.
Committee Reports
Grievance Committee - Reggie Chandler announced to member to know your local union rights. Every one should have contract books. Please read it, and know your rights. If any member does not understand, Reggie Chandler said he will help you.
