February 14, 2019 - Dear members,
Several of you have shared your displeasure regarding the format of your regular unit meetings. Some points raised were with respect to the structure of the meetings themselves, the frequency or lack thereof, the desire to be able to participate by other means if you’re not physically able to attend, and so on.

We have found a small discrepancy in the way overtime was paid in relation to Martin Luther King Jr. Day when the holiday is *NOT *worked. The hours paid for *NOT *working should be added to the final tally of hours for the week. This could potentially push an employee over 40 hours for the week which would entitle him/her to pay for overtime after the 40 hours. In some instances, members were only paid straight time. *PLEASE CHECK YOUR PAY IF YOU DID NOT WORK THE HOLIDAY. *If you feel there is an issue, please contact your Grievance Officer and let him know.
