The WV ARA is the state chapter for the National Alliance of Retired Americans located in Washington DC and sponsored by the National AFL-CIO.
The WV ARA meets monthly by phone conference call and in person quarterly at the State WV AFL-CIO building in Charleston WV, 11:00AM. They discuss and address retiree issues that are effecting WV seniors as well as lobby the State Legeslature concerning these same issues. Once a year they hold a two day State Conference at Cedar Lakes WV, it is the largest gathering of retirees in the State.
SOAR 8-23-4 is an affiliated member and pays yearly affiliation fees. Several members participate on the monthly calls,attend the Conference as well as serve as officers.
