Le 27 novembre 2018 - Afin de tenir les membres informés de la mise en œuvre des recommandations contenues dans le Rapport des Administrateurs en date du 15 novembre 2018, nous souhaitons partager les informations suivantes.
Mise à jour concernant la tutelle
Tel que mentionné dans notre Rapport, la Section locale reste sous tutelle, sans calendrier arrêté quant à la levée de cette tutelle. Notre Rapport explique clairement que les Administrateurs et le nouveau Bureau exécutif doivent se pencher sur de nombreuses autres questions avant que la tutelle ne puisse être levée. Ces questions comprennent entre autres une révision de la structure de la Section locale et la mise en place d’une assise financière durable à l’avenir. Nous devons aussi nous pencher, entre autres, sur la représentation et les frais juridiques, le traitement des griefs et les questions liées à la dotation du personnel.
Élection pour les postes de Dirigeants exécutifs régionaux de l’Alberta
Nous travaillons avec Intelivote pour organiser de nouvelles élections pour les deux postes de Dirigeants exécutifs régionaux de l’Alberta. L’élection aura lieu le jeudi 20 décembre 2018, par vote électronique à distance. Début décembre, Intelivote enverra par la poste des numéros d’identification personnelle (NIP) à tous les membres des Unités admissibles à voter en Alberta. Plus d’informations relatives au vote seront communiquées prochainement. Les candidats sont les mêmes que le 19 avril 2018, et il n’y aura pas de mise en candidature supplémentaire.

Mise à jour sur les charges constitutionnelles
Ainsi que nos membres en ont précédemment été informés, deux ensembles d’accusations constitutionnelles ont été déposées. Ces accusations ont été entendues par une Commission internationale début octobre. Cette Commission a publié son rapport et rejeté les deux ensembles d’accusations. Le Comité d’appel du Bureau exécutif international entendra ces affaires le 10 décembre 2018. Des renseignements complémentaires ont été adressés directement aux membres impliqués dans ces deux affaires.
Installation du Bureau exécutif
Les Administrateurs travaillent toujours sur la logistique nécessaire à l’installation des nouveaux dirigeants du Bureau exécutif, comme indiqué dans notre Rapport.

November 27, 2018 - In an effort to keep the membership informed regarding the implementation of the recommendations contained in the Administrator’s Report on November 15, we wish to share the following information.
Administration Update
As per our Report, the Local remains under Administration and there is no timeline for the Local to be taken out of Administration. Our report was clear that there are many other issues that will need to be addressed by both the Administrators and the incoming Executive Board before the Local is taken out of Administration. These issues include a review of the Local Union’s structure and getting the Local on a sustainable financial footing going forward. We are also reviewing legal expenditures and representation, grievance handling, and staffing issues, among others at the Local.
Election for Regional Executive Officers for Alberta
We are working with Intelivote to conduct re-run elections for the two positions of Regional Executive Officer for Alberta. The vote will take place on Thursday, December 20, 2018, by remote electronic voting. Personal Identification Numbers (PINs) will be mailed by Intelivote in early December to all eligible Unit members in Alberta. Additional voting information will be communicated shortly. The candidates will remain the same as April 19, 2018, and there will be no additional nomination.

Update on the Constitutional Charges
As many members are aware, two sets of constitutional charges were filed. Those charges were heard by International Commissioners in early October. The Commissioners have released their reports and dismissed both sets of charges. The International Executive Board Appeal Panel will hear these cases on December 10, 2018. Further information was sent directly to the members involved in the two cases.
Installation of the Executive Board
The Administrators are still working through the logistics for installing the newly elected Executive Board Officers as set out in our Report.
Staffing Change
The Administrators wish to inform members that we have asked former President Lee Riggs to transition out of his position and as a Representative of the Local. He has agreed to do so. On behalf of the Local, we want to thank Brother Riggs for his commitment, dedication and many years of service to the TWU and our Local Union.
