We are the United Steelworkers, North America’s largest industrial union. We’re 1.2 million members and retirees strong in the United States, Canada and the Caribbean. We proudly represent men and women who work in nearly every industry there is.
I started working for Carmar May 26 1998. I got involved with the union May of 2012 as the Finical Secretary and have continued my role ever since. I am a member of the safety committee and strive to make the work place safe.
I have been a union member for the last 19 years. I first became a member of BCTGM at Doane Pet Care in Joplin, Mo. I left Doane Pet Care in 2002 and began working for Americold Logistics where I became an active Union Member of P.A.C.E. I became a Shop Steward in 2003 and shortly after was elected Sergeant at arms. After the merger with the United Steel Workers, I became a Shop Steward for USW 11-500 and then I became the Recording Secretary for USW 11-500. Serving that position for several years, I am now the Vice President for USW 11-500. I try to serve our members with a true passion and dedication toward work place fairness.
