December 6, 2021 - Your Bargaining Committee consists of Louise Davis (Unit 63), Steve McWhirter (Union Representative), and Perry Pasqualetto (Chief Union Spokesperson). The current Agreement is in effect until December 20, 2021, but it is important to remember that the terms of the current Agreement are maintained while bargaining continues and until a new Collective Agreement is ratified by the membership. The Union will be serving notice to commence bargaining with MAP Communications later this month with anticipated bargaining dates early in the New Year, though we anticipate this round to be done virtually rather than in person like previous years.
The Bargaining Committee met on November 30th and December 2nd, 2021, to prepare for this round of bargaining. A bargaining survey was launched to the membership and the Committee is proud of the 100% participation from the members! The Committee has reviewed all the feedback and has set our priorities for this round of negotiations.
MAP Communications members can be assured that the entire Steelworker organization is here to support them throughout bargaining. President Donna Hokiro took time to meet the committee and discuss bargaining issues and concerns raised in the bargaining surveys.
