CDC releases new mask guidance for vaccinated people
Yesterday, May 13, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) announced updated mask guidance for fully vaccinated people. The agency stated that fully vaccinated people no longer need to wear a mask or physically distance indoors or outdoors, except where required by federal, state, local, tribal, or territorial laws, rules, and regulations, including local business and workplace guidance.
However, the CDC also said that, for now, fully vaccinated people should continue to get tested if experiencing COVID-19 symptoms and follow CDC and health department travel requirements and recommendations.
Note that this applies only to non-healthcare environments. Click here to read guidance on vaccinated people in health care settings.
