I started at Strattec in July of 2010 as a Tumbler in the Die Cast department. In early 2011 I transfered to the Stamping and Milling department as a Set Up Operator. I currently work in the Milling area on 2nd shift. In 2015 I ran for Strattec Grievance Representative unopposed replacing our previous Grievance Representative Diane Neely. I was re-elected to the position again in 2018. I am also involved in several Strattec and Local Committees.  In 2019, following the resignation of Mike Henry, our Vice President, I was appointed to the position by vote of the Executive Board for the remainder of the term. Prior to comming to Strattec I was the Grievance Representative for UAW Local 1866 representing the Bargaining Unit workers at Delphi Automotive in Oak Creek, WI. I was elected President of our Local, replacing former President Jesse Edwards and sworn in May 2021.

Your Shop Stewards are Ricky Vandiver "Letdown",  "Maintenance", Anthony Sledge "Nitrate" and Gavin McMurty "Ammonia". These folks are integral components of our structure and should be utilized first. Negotiating our next contract is only a small portion of what these members do for you. They are your first line of defense in your Area. They are there to assist you whenever a controversy may arise or to answer any questions you may have regarding our contract or other matters. Remember, as a whole, you elected your Shop Stewards to represent you and the Area in which you work and they volunteered for the task. Use them but, do not abuse them. Remember that their primary reason for being at work is the same as yours, to earn a paycheck. Their job duties come first and thier Stewardship duties as time permits.
