Nominations for the USW Local 2705 were taken at the March meeting and the ballot has been set.  The elections will be held on April 5th and 6th 2021 at the Hibbing Memorial building in the dining hall on the east end of the main north entrance to the buiding (our normal monthly meeting location).  The polls will be open both days from 6 AM to 8 AM and reopen at 1 PM until 8:30 PM.  

Seven nominees will be vieing for three positions as Trustees.  They include, Rich Jacklen, Justin Blazewicz, Ed Rancourt,  Frank Lamusga, Steve "Pudgy" Prebonich, Wade Yuhala and Bryan Fisher.

Five nominees will be vieing for the 2 guard positions.  They include, Andy Fisher, Matt HIti, Jessica Rootes, Chad Van Reese, and Austin Walters.

The current incumbents at the positions of President (Chris Johnson), Vice-President (Steve Rancourt), Recording Secretary (Bill Fredette), Financial Secretary (Mike Mandich) and Treasurer (Wade Bexell), will be running unopposed and will garner another three year term.  The current Guide (Mike Rootes), has chosen not to run again.  That job will be will be taken over by Jon Niemi, who was nominated for the position, accepted and will run unopposed.

Please get out and vote on that Monday or Tuesday after Easter.  It is important that we show our support for the people that are putting themselves out there to do these jobs.  They will be working hard for you.

An election for all positions on the executive board of Local 2705 will be held on April 5th and Aprtil 6th 2021 at the Memorial Building in HIbbing, Minnesota in the dining hall located on the east end of the building (our normal monthly meeting location).
