Brother Livingston, a Unit Vice-Chair and Unit Counsellor from Unit 604, started at Telus in 2015 in Loyalty and Retention in Montreal, QC. He later transferred to Escalations, and ultimately became a Client Experience Advocate (CEA), a position where he offers support to frontline escalation agents and oversees regulatory complaints, privacy investigations for FFH, and the SOS program. He was also the privacy prime for EMT – which involved managing EMTs relationship with Privacy and the Data and Trust Office. He also served as a SME for privacy breaches for FFH. Brother Livingston is a fervent activist and a student of the USW Leadership Development Scholarship Program. He started in his new position Today.

March 22, 2021 - Several changes to the Local’s team of Local Union Representatives are taking effect this month.
As part of the United Steelworkers’ tradition of hiring Staff Representatives directly from amongst its members and Local Unions’ staff, your Local Union Representative for Quebec Hans-Woosly Balan has accepted a position as a District 5 USW Staff Representative. He will be working for District 5 reporting to Director Dominique Lemieux. His last day as a Local Union Representative for Local 1944 will be March 26th.

Le 22 mars 2021 - Plusieurs changements affectant l’équipe de Représentants de la Section locale prennent effet ce mois-ci.
Dans le cadre de la tradition des Métallos d’embaucher des représentants syndicaux permanents parmi ses membres et le personnel des sections locales, votre Représentant de la Section locale du Québec, Hans-Woosly Balan, a accepté un poste de Permanent des Métallos. Il travaillera pour le Directeur du District 5 Dominique Lemieux et répondra directement à celui-ci. Son dernier jour en tant que Représentant de la Section locale 1944 sera le 26 mars.
« Je souhaite au confrère Balan tout le meilleur dans ses futurs projets, a déclaré Donna Hokiro, Présidente par intérim de la Section locale 1944 du Syndicat des Métallos. Il est certain que notre perte sera un gain pour le District 5. Un Permanent qui provient de nos rangs, c’est phénoménal ! Encore une fois, félicitations Hans-Woosly. »
La Section locale a le plaisir d’annoncer que le confrère Alexander Livingston assumera de façon temporaire les fonctions du confrère Balan, ainsi que d’autres tâches syndicales.
Le confrère Livingston, Vice-président d’Unité et Conseiller de l’Unité 604, a débuté chez Telus en 2015 au service Rétention et fidélisation à Montréal, au Québec. Il est ensuite passé au service Recours hiérarchiques, avant de devenir Représentant de l’expérience client (CEA), un poste où il assiste les agents Recours hiérarchiques de première ligne et surveille les plaintes réglementaires, les investigations FFH relatives à la protection de la vie privée et le programme SOS. Il fut également responsable de la protection de la vie privée EMT – ce qui incluait de gérer les relations entre EMT et le bureau de protection de la vie privée et le « Data and Trust Office ». Il a également servi en tant que SME des atteintes à la vie privée pour FFH. Le confrère Livingston est un fervent militant et un étudiant du Programme de perfectionnement en leadership des Métallos. Il a pris ses nouvelles fonctions aujourd’hui.
