December 11, 2020 - Your bargaining team is fighting for your future, in spite of your employer. Shaw DOES NOT want a deal. Off to conciliation AGAIN, just like the last few rounds of bargaining with this employer. 

The company has accused the Union of not showing any movement. 

That is patently false, we have been very reasonable and have demonstrated flexibility. On the other hand, the company is moving the goalpost toward increasing company-favoured language. They want to steal your rights away, and want carte blanche to do whatever they want, whenever they want, and however they want. 

We have said NO! The company makes it more clear at every bargaining session that they don’t care about you, your families, or your community. 

The Union will continue to show No Fear in attempting to reach an agreement that you deserve via the conciliation and mediation process. It appears that Shaw’s negotiating team is not empowered to make a deal. 

The remaining items on the table are wages, benefits, contracting out of service work and term of the agreement.
