On November 20th, Members voted to elect their LUDM delegates and USW – Telus bargaining committee members, and election results have been announced. In a statement, Acting President Donna Hokiro explains why it is important that members at Telus participate in the bargaining survey and get involved in this round of bargaining.

Le 20 novembre, les membres ont voté pour élire leurs délégués à l’Assemblée des Délégués de la Section Locale et les membres du comité de négociation Métallos – Telus, et les résultats des élections ont été annoncés. La Présidente par intérim Donna Hokiro explique pourquoi il est vital que les membres de Telus participent au sondage sur les négociations et s’impliquent tout au long de ces négociations.
Le Syndicat des Métallos a lancé sa nouvelle campagne, Monter le niveau de la santé et sécurité pour les femmes. Ce fut l’occasion pour la Présidente par intérim Donna Hokiro de communiquer au niveau national sur le problème des pauses toilettes dans les milieux de travail. Veuillez participer à notre sondage si vous ne l’avez pas déjà fait.
Les membres du Comité des droits civils et de la personne font un retour sur les 11 derniers mois, et exposent en quoi cette année fut tragique pour tout ce qui a trait aux droits de la personne. Ils posent également la question des problèmes d’ergonomie pour celles et ceux qui travaillent à domicile.
Comme vous le savez, les membres de l’Unité 60 de Shaw Abbotsford sont en cours de négociation avec leur employeur ; lors d’un rassemblement sur un stationnement ils ont témoigné leur solidarité aux membres de leur équipe de négociation.
