Watch the videos to hear directly from members in District 8 about the value of having a union in their workplace.

    Kathy Whitaker, USW Local 15637
Hazard Appalachian Regional Healthcare, West Virginia

"To me it's so important to have fairness and equality in the workplace. If it wasn't for the union we wouldn't have the benefits that we have today, including bereavement leave, sick time, vacation time and double pay when working the holidays."

    Luther Starks, Local 0741
    Green Bay Packaging, Maryland

"I wanted to make a difference in trying to create a better working environment. I know there's strength in numbers."

    Bill Kelly, USW Local 12517
    Solvay Chemical, Maryland

"I work union because it's better pay and benefits than non-union. It also helps raise wages for all workers in my area."
