The answer is YES. You can use this benefit if you are experiencing COVID-19 symptoms, have been sent home, and are waiting to be tested or have already been tested for COVID-19, starting from the day you are sent home. If you receive a positive COVID-19 result, you can continue receiving COVID-19 Positive leave hours while you are recovering, up to the maximum that applies to you. If you receive a negative result and still need time off, you are no longer eligible for COVID-19 Positive leave hours and will need to use other time off available to you, such as paid time off (PTO), earned time off (ETO), vacation time, or sick leave, if eligible.

If you took time off between June 14th and July 9th due to COVID-19 illness, symptoms or testing, you may have your hours recoded as COVID-19 Positive leave hours. Ask your manager to make a previous pay period adjustment to change any sick leave, PTO, or ETO hours to COVID-19 Positive leave hours.

*The Membership Meeting for **July 14th has been canceled. The decision was made due to the Governor of Ohio and USW International's recommendations to postpone meetings due to the pandemic, as well as a lack of meeting space large enough in the area to conduct a meeting.
