Slowly but surely, Local 8888’s operations are returning to a “new normal.” Beginning June 15, the union hall will reopen on an appointment-only basis. Members must have arranged a prior appointment to coming to the office. Everyone entering the building will be required to wear a face mask and maintain appropriate social distancing. Starting June 22, the union will resume full operations, Monday – Friday, 8 a.m. – 4:30 p.m., while still requiring face masks and social distancing

We got you! Now, you can show 8888 pride while practicing safety. Each member can pick up 2 FREE face masks (one reusable and one disposable), beginning June 24 – August 31, 2020. The masks with the Local 8888 USW logo will be distributed each week on Wednesday and Thursday between 8:00 am – 6:00 p.m. So, mask up in safety and 8888 solidarity!
Sign Up for Delta Dental and Aflac
Members can come to the union hall to sign up for Delta Dental or Aflac on Wednesday and Thursday each week from 8 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. The open enrollment period for both programs ends July 31, 2020. You can get a copy of the Voyager on June 18 when regular distribution at the gates resumes. An electronic issue of the newspaper will also be available on Local 8888’s web site.
