We have signed the extension to the CEWS program as the voting was 42 to 3 in favour. The company has submitted to July 4 and awaiting approval from the Federal Government.
As far as hours of work, nothing will be changing as of now. To create physical distancing, 12 hour people are allowed the 1/2 hour early relief and for 8 hours, the company posted early shower times. For wire draw, frames must be left running.
As most have had the pleasure of feeling the pinch of the company policies. We DC are not allowed cell phone use on your job, running or not. You must be a safe place. No more reading of books or newspaper on the job. These are company policies that they are strongly enforcing so be aware!! Do your job as they ask, provided it is safe to do so.
There are 3 people recalled for next week but one lay off due to vacations. The company is anticipating a few more recalls after next week.
