Nomination Meeting Notice

For USW Local 1011

On March 4, 2021 Local Union 1011 will hold a meeting for the purpose of nominating candidates for Local Union Office. Nominations of candidates for the following offices will be taken:

Executive Board Grievance Committee

President Treasurer Chairman of the Grievers

Vice President Guide Area 1,2,4,5,6,7 Grievers

Recording Secretary Guards (2) Unit Chair & Secretary Randel Metals

Financial Secretary Trustees (3) Unit Chair & SecretarySafety Kleen

***The nomination meeting will be held at 4:30pm at Hijos De Borinquen located at 1411 Broadway St. East Chicago, IN 46312. (Across from 1011 Hall)***

Nominations will be accepted at the Hall:

Wednesday March 3, 2021 9am-12pm then 1pm-4pm

Thursday March 4, 2021 9am-12pm then 1pm-2pm

Written nominations will be excepted ONLY by delivering the written nomination into the drop off box located at the Local 1011 Union Hall OR by mailing the written nomination to:

Stana Krause USW 1011 Recording Secretary 3629 Euclid Ave, East Chicago, IN 46312.

Acceptance Deadline: Thursday March 4, 2021 at 2pm. Any written nominations received after this date and time will not be accepted.

The Local Union Elections Manual provides that nominations shall take place from the floor at the nominations meeting at that only members in good standing may nominate for office.
Nominees must indicate their acceptance or rejection of their nomination within 5 days of the nomination.
The Election Committee (Tellers) shall be selected following completion of nominations at the same meeting.

Recording Secretary shall receive all Nominations and acceptances
