ND Paper to Acquire Resolute Forest Products Recycled Bleached Kraft Pulp Mill in Fairmont, WV for $55 Million

Resolute Forest Products announced that it will be selling its recycled bleached kraft pulp mill in Fairmont, WV to ND Paper for $55 million. ND Paper is a subsidiary of China-based Company, Nine Dragons Paper Holdings, LLC. The sale is expected to close in the next couple of months.

While the mill in Fairmont is not unionized, the 4 Resolute mills located in Augusta, GA, Calhoun, TN, Catawba, SC and Coosa Pines, AL are USW facilities. In June of this year, ND Paper acquired two former Catalyst Paper Mills located in Rumford, ME and Biron, WI, which are also represented by the USW. The Rumford and Biron mills were ND Paper’s first acquisitions in the U.S.
