President Czappa called the meeting to order at 7pm at the Labor Hall. 7 people were present.

Reading of the Minutes
Our last meeting was July 3, 2024. We observed a moment of silence for brothers Al Yenter and Mike Stratton. Five new members were voted in, with their new member fees waived. A total of 224 members in good standing, with 3 non members, Justin Derezinski, Mark Brandt, and Josiah Brandt. Up to three women were voted to attend the Quarterly Women of Steel Meeting. We voted to sponsor the Nekoosa Football Golf Outing July 21 for $250. We voted to sponsor the Humane Society Walk September 28 for $300. We voted to sponsor the Family Center Golf Scramble Against Violence August 19. Discussed the Quilts of Valor ladies and the stockings they will make to give to veterans’ homes.

Treasurer’s Report
A detailed list of incomes and expenses were read, with an ending balance of $51,000.45 and savings of $177,458.70. Seargant at Arms Gutstin motion to accept as read, Beckman second. Motion carried.
Initiation of New Members
Applications of new members: Brian Rickaby, Geoff Van Horn, Nathan Duchrow, Michael Ryun, Micakayla Streeter, and Shane Grosskopf. Treasurer Bray motion to waive initiation fees, Seargant Gustin second. Motion carried.

Had our Quarterly Meeting where we had a presentation from the Family Center about Sexual Assault and how to react to people telling you they’ve experienced Sexual Assault. Arvella Greenlaw and Sally Feistel joined us. Arvella explained the facebook group for District 7 Women of Steel, and that you can sign up to fill out postcards to send out to fellow brothers and sisters encouraging them to vote.
- Eboard:
- Discussion on Utility 1 Master Schedule jobs.
- No updates on the 5-minute punch in rule.
- No updates on safety meetings.
- Discussion on schedules coming out on Tuesdays so you can see the schedule for Sunday before you leave on your 4-day off.
- Safety committes have started up again. Potential training in the September/October timeframe.
- Master states for bereavement leave that 8 hour workers will be paid for the 8-hour working days they miss, and 12-hour workers to be paid for the 12-hour days they miss, based on their standard schedules.
- Tshirt order for WOS-working up the art. 16.99 for base shirt, not counting printing/shipping. More info coming.
- Pork Roast-Off September 25. Domtar vs Local 59?
- Arbitration in Kingsport over funeral leave.

- Quilts of Valor for Holiday Stockings-how many? No money needed upfront, request an amount, we will stuff them and deliver. Let VOS or WOS know if you are interested in doing more.
New Business
- Potential to purchase property at 315 North Street, Nekoosa for Union Hall. Fire Marshal Capacity??
- Randy Zabel has a fundraising request. Eboard recommendation to donate $500 to Rapids School of Performing Arts. Bray motion, bodette second. Motion carried
- Recommendation to spend up to $500 on candy for Nekoosa and Port Edwards parades (combined). Bodette motion, Bray second.
- District 7 meeting-heads of different departments discuss the benefits of your union dues. Bray recommend to concur with eboard, gustin second.
- September 18th as a due date for petition or once we reach 80 signatures.

- Cannot watch vote, can be present and see ballots after the vote.
