Hello Members,

As we come together today to observe International Women's Day, it is with a profound sense of solidarity and commitment that we also address the challenges faced by women, trans, and non-binary workers within our communities.
Hello Members,

USW Local 1944 is outraged that Telus has chosen this time, when we are already reeling from the ongoing payroll error disaster, to roll back your health benefits.
The Canadian Football Players Association (CFLPA), United Steelworkers (USW), and White Ribbon are joining forces to introduce a groundbreaking program – "Elevating Action."
We're excited to announce our participation in Pink Shirt Day on February 28th – a powerful stand against bullying. Show your support by wearing our exclusive USW Local 1944 Pink Shirt!
USW is hosting a first-ever national Steel Pride network in Canada, to bring together members of our Steelworkers’ rainbow community from coast to coast to coast.
Despite assurances from Telus that everything possible was being done to remedy the ongoing payroll problems, the Union is aware that this latest January 11 payroll run looks to be just as full of errors
Hello Members, Units are able to pass resolutions that they want to be considered at the Local Union Delegated Meeting, which is being held March 19-21, 2024. For a Unit to pass a resolution to the LUDM, a member of the Unit must propose the resolution at a Unit Meeting.
Local 1944 Officers were happy last week to hear from Telus Labour Relations that Telus was requesting a meeting with the Local to discuss the ongoing payroll issues, including what Telus was doing to try to resolve them, and so we agreed to meet with them.
