CT NOW: Protect Life-Saving Screenings for Ohio Energy Workers!
For decades, workers at Department of Energy facilities put their health on the line while serving our nation. Today, the Worker Health Protection Program (WHPP), which provides free medical screenings for former energy workers exposed to radiation, asbestos, beryllium, silica, and other toxic hazards, is at risk.
Current funding is expected to run out on July 1, threatening critical screenings that help detect occupational illnesses and connect workers to benefits they have earned.
Congress must act immediately to ensure DOE releases the funding being withheld and increases support for this vital program. Take action NOW!
