I have been at Mueller since 9-12-05. I have been in Department 60 (Foundry) the entire time. I have held the titles of core setter, ladle repair person, furnace charger, ladle person, sorter, and utility in the plant. I have also been a proud USW member and activist since I was hired in. I started as a shop steward, and over the years was fortunate enough to hold positions, such as Department 60 Grievance Committeeperson and Grievance Committee Chairperson that led to me being elected President of this great local. I am the Plant 4 Time Study Steward (union work analyst), and Rapid Response Chairperson. I’ve helped to negotiate the previous 4 collective bargaining agreements. I also help wherever I am needed with the various committees. I was a Political Casual (release staff) in 2018, 2020, and 2022. I have also been trained as an organizer and have worked on 2 campaigns thus far. I believe all workers should have the respectand dignity on the job that a union can provide. It is up to us as activists to remind the people at the top about the people in the shop. SOLIDARITY!!!
