STEELWORKERS RALLY

Thanks to all who organized and synchronized rallies at multiple mills on this day. Thanks to all who showed up and supported our right to fight for a fair wage. A special thanks also to the police that provided security during our efforts.

Remember... we're the ones who want to work in the dirty, greasy, noisy, extreme heat and cold environments while missing cookouts, birthday parties, graduations, holidiays, etc... We're the ones who work the long day and night hours away from our families and sacrifice our health in hopes of being compensated fairly.  We're NOT the ones who want million dollar handouts and golden parachutes. All we want is to continue to work to earn our small piece of the American dream.

Melinda Newhouse wrote: Congratulations! You all worked really hard to put together your rallies today, and WOW – what a success. We had well over 5000 members and supporters in the streets and at the gates to send USS a message. And thousands more with us in spirit while working in the plants.

Because of your diligent and tireless efforts to build your CAT teams and get the information out on the shop floor, we were able to pull off today. All of you should be really proud! Our union is STEEL STRONG!!

consequences.  Our messaging is right and your work in building community and media support is paying off. Thanks for your work pulling today’s events together. Solidarity works.
