Julie Meadows

Hi I'm Julie Meadows. I was born in Kentucky and moved to Indianapolis in 1982. My family was members of the Mining Unions. I graduated from Ben Davis High School. I have worked at Carrier since 2004. I was Union Official 3 (office on nightshift), Steward, and now a Chief Steward. I have had the privilege to attend summer school for collective bargaining, Social Media, Rapid Response, and Economic Effects; that I got to use what I learned to help negotiate a contract for Carrier. I am the captain of our Local Rapid Response Committee. I am on the Safety Board, Joint Safety, and Local Safety Committee. I have also had the privilege to attend other safety and educational conferences where I use what I learned to try and keep everyone safe at work, home, and in the community.

I am a true Taurus I love standing up and really love fighting for what is right. I love sports especially bowling. I like going to the casino. I enjoy traveling and taking way to many pictures. My favorite thing to do is spend time with family and friends. My Dad my hero died in 2020 with Covid. I was diagnosed with breast cancer in Oct. 2022. This opened my eyes that nothing is promised and live life like it is your last day, make memories with the ones you love, and take control of your life and don't let anyone tell you different.
