As stated in the previous update the Union will not accept pay cuts for our members. The Union countered the Companies Wage and Benefit proposals.

The Company is taking the counter from the Union under serious consideration. The complete complex package is coming together.

Due to the unavailability of the Union and Company negotiating team members, negotiations are being suspended until April 17, 2017.

Bargaining Notes:

The Union and Company made significant progress in agreeing to work rules and retiree benefits.

The Union and Company worked well past 10pm Friday night discussing Wage Equality and Benefit proposals from the Company.  The premiums in the Health care proposal remain high for our members.  As far as wage equality proposals, the Company wants to remove base wages from the senior employees to match wages in an occupation.  The Union made it clear that it cannot accept a proposal that would take money from our membership.
