Notice is hereby given as provided in Minnesota Statute 205.13 Subdivision 2, that a general election will be held on Tuesday, November 6, 2018 for the purpose of electing candidates for the offices listed below. The filing period for these offices is from 8:00 a.m., July 31, 2018, to 5:00 p.m., August 14, 2018. Note: the place of filling is the Office of City Clerk, 401 East 21st Street, Room 201, City Hall, Hibbing, Minnesota 55746.
City Offices (Filing Fee- $5.00)
One Mayor, 4-year term
One City Council Member Ward 1, 4-year term
One City Council Member Ward 2, 4-year term
One City Council Member Ward 3, 2-year term
One City Council Member Ward 4, 2-year term
One City Council Member-at-Large, 2-year term
One City Council Member-at-Large, 4-year term
The candidate filing date info and polling place info is the same for the four school board openings. However-- School board candidates need to file at the high school in the Superintendent's office.
The citizens of the City of Hibbing, in the County of St. Louis, and the State of Minnesota, who are duly qualified electors of the City of Hibbing, Minnesota, are herby advised abd notified that the general election will be held on Tuesday, November 6, 2018, at the officially designated voting places listed below, between the hours of seven o'clock in the morning and eight o'clock in the evening of said day:
