Earth day event

Earth Day is an annual event celebrated on April 22 Worldwide. Various events are held to demonstrate support for environmental protection. First celebrated in 1970, Earth Day now includes events in more than 193 countries. The USW Local 897 and Xylem Inc. celebrated Earth day by cleaning our Town little league baseball fields and properly recycling plastic bottles and other debris that was collected. There is something you can do to make the world a better place for you and our children: Recycle...

Xylem Inc Employees,

On behalf of our entire league I want to thank everyone one of you for everything you did to make this event a huge success.  We got so much further down our wish list than we ever thought possible thanks to the wonderful volunteers from Xylem.  With your help we accomplished more in 3 hours than we would have been able to in 5 or 6 weekends.  Your team helped us with cleaning up debris and garbage, painting the batting cage building, weeding and mulching the garden, cleaning up around the bleachers, removing the old flooring in the snack stand, repairing a leaning outfield fence, carrying out the pitching mounds, scraping and caulking part of the outside of the main building.

THANK YOU!
