LMP Update #17

As we all know, there have been challenges due to unexpected occurrences in the primary end. This week has not been an exception. Nevertheless, we will continue to do what’s best for Burns Harbor moving forward.

While we all understand outages are part of the process throughout the Plant, we also need to keep focus on day-to-day tasks which need to be addressed in order for us to remain a world class steel provider.

The Company will continue to recall those on layoff next week, resulting in minimal layoffs.

In the past week, we have continued our shop floor communications and met on several grievances filed throughout the Plant. We have made it clear that SUB pay and incentive rates are the priority.

As part of the Burns Harbor Bargaining Team, I am happy to report our next pay raise will be in effect beginning August 30th.  These raises will be added to your base rate of pay which ultimately will be reflected in your incentive.
