District 10 will offer a Next Generation - Level II Course for Local Union members at Linden Hall in Dawson, PA from Sunday, May 31, 2026, to Thursday, June 4, 2026. Registration is Sunday at 3:00 p.m. followed by dinner at 5:00 p.m. and there will be a Welcome Session at 6:00 p.m. Monday through Wednesday classes will be held from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and on Thursday from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.

The prerequisite to participating in the Next Gen Level II Leadership Course is completion of the Next Gen Level I Course.

REGISTRATION AND HOTEL INFORMATION:

The registration fee for the seminar is $480 per person and includes room (double occupancy for Local Union members only), classroom materials, and meals.

Please indicate on the registration form if there are members who prefer to share a room. All others will be assigned a roommate after registrations are received.

If you wish to request or require a single room, the cost of the registration fee if $880 and subject to availability. The District 10 office will make the room reservations.

For anyone not staying overnight at Linden Hall, the registration fee for the seminar is $200 per person for classroom materials and meals. This is subject to change.

REGISTRATION DEADLINE: To register, please complete the appropriate registration form which should be received at the District 10 office by April 274, 2026. After this date, registrations will only be accepted if rooms are still available. Each Local Union will be responsible for any lost time, travel, and expenses.

Location: The Landing Hotel Pittsburgh at Rivers Casino, located at 757 Casino Drive, Pittsburgh, PA 15212.

The conference agenda begins with the first session at 9:00 a.m. on Monday, June 22, and concludes with the final session at noon on Thursday, June 25.

Conference registration will take place in the Rivers Casino Event Center on Sunday, June 21, from 3:00-5:00 p.m., and on Monday, June 22, beginning at 7:30 a.m.

Participants are encouraged to bring new or gently used children's books to be donated to Reading Ready Pittsburgh and The Philly Book Bank.

REGISTRATION FEE: A registration fee is required to help cover conference expenses. This fee includes a conference gift and one delegate ticket for the banquet on Wednesday, June 24. Additional adult banquet tickets may be purchased at the conference for $25 each; children age 17 and under may attend the banquet at no cost. Breakout workshops will be offered on Tuesday and Wednesday. Hotel accommodations are not included in the registration fee.

Conference Registration Fees:

Early-Bird Registration: $375 per delegate if received by March 31, 2026.

Registration Fee: $475 per delegate

Please be sure to submit registrations as early as possible.

For payment by paper check, the online registration form must be completed prior to mailing a check, made payable to "USW District 10 Conference Fund," to USW District 10 Conference Fund, 1001 Ardmore Bldg., Suite 200, Pittsburgh, PA 15221.

REGISTRATION DEADLINE: The registration deadline is Sunday, May 31, and no refunds will be issued after that date.

Hotel Reservations & Deadline: Please make your hotel reservations at The Landing Hotel. Reservations must be madeby Wednesday, May 20. Reservations may be made by calling the hotel directly at (412) 231-7777 and mentioning the group code "USOC," or online at https://bit.ly/The-Landing-Hotel.The special rate is $179 per night plus applicable taxes. The deadline for making reservations is Wednesday, May 20, 2026.

Local Unions are strongly encouraged to ensure full representation at the conference. All expenses related to registration, accommodations, lost time, per diem, and travel are the responsibility of each Local Union.

Underage Attendees / Casino Regulations:

Children are welcome and may attend this year's conference; however, Pennsylvania Gaming and Control Board regulations apply. Individuals under 21 years of age are not permitted on the casino floor at any time. Rivers Casino requires an Underage Form to be completed for ALL attendees under age 21.

Important Notice:

Underage guests without prior casino will not be permitted to attend any conference events. Onsite approval cannot be granted and will not be available.

Approved underage guests will meet in a designated area inside the hotel lobby at specific times for certain events. They will receive a wristband and be escorted to the Event Center by casino security. If you arrive with an unapproved underage guest, they will not be allowed into the conference area.

Breakout workshops will be offered during the District 10 Conference on Tuesday and Wednesday. Delegates MUST choose four workshops from the list below:

Arbitration from an Arbitrator's Perspective: Everything you always wanted to know about arbitration and/or the arbitrator but were afraid to ask.
Financial Officer Training: Learn the basics of being a Local Union Treasurer or Financial Secretary. From reporting, recordkeeping, and tax requirements, this workshop will teach you the expectations of being a Financial Officer.
Grievance Handling: Everything you need to know in one place. If you are new and need the basics or if you've been around and are looking for a refresher, this workshop has you covered. Grievance Committees are the heart of every Local Union. Get the tools you need to represent your members.
Local Union Administration: Administration and Governance for USW Locals under the governing documents of our Union.
OSHA 10-hour General Industry: This course is ideal for providing basic safety and health awareness for all workers. Participants will be introduced to OSHA policies, procedures and standards, we well as general industry safety and health principles covered in OSHA's general industry standards, as outlined in 29 CFR 14910.
Rapid Response and Legislative: Rapid Response is our union's nonpartisan grassroots education, communication, and action program that provides the necessary structure to inform every USW member about pending legislation concerning labor and work-related issues. Rapid Response provides opportunity for all USW members to have a strong voice and an active part in the government decisions and legislative actions that affect them, their families, their contracts, and their communities.
Strategic Campaigns: When we're in tough contract negotiations it's important to show manage3ment that we're organized and prepared. Learn ways your Local Union can build power by engaging members and, if necessary, show the company we're prepared in the case of a labor dispute. We'll cover the basic steps and strategies to consider when preparing for bargaining, including building a Communication and Action Team; educating members; preparing leaders and activists to take on new, important roles; and taking action to show solidarity and preparedness.
Workers' Compensation: A local's understanding of the Pennsylvania workers' compensation system.

Registrations for the above-noted workshops will be open to all conference delegates. Please pre-register in advance while completing your Conference Registration at United Steelworkers Event Registration.

Workshops may change or be combined if deemed necessary due to participation or other unforeseen circumstances.

July 12 - July 15, 2026 -> "USW Rapid Response, Legislative and Policy Conference"

We strongly encourage Local Presidents, Rapid Response Coordinators, team members, and other key activists to attend.

Location: The Omni Shoreham Hotel in Washington, D.C., located at 2500 Calvert Street NW, Washington, D.C., 20008.

Schedule:

Sunday, July 12 - Registration/Optional Orientation: Conference registrations will take place from 3:00-6:00 p.m. For those who are interested, orientation will be held at 7:30 p.m. We will share strategies to navigate Washington, D.C. and Capitol Hill, find landmarks and restaurants, and learn about the conference. This is particularly helpful for first-time conference attendees.
Monday, July 13 & Tuesday, July 14 - Registrations/General Sessions and Workshops: Conference Registrations will take place from 7:00-9:00 a.m. on Monday. Following registrations, the conference will begin at 9:00 a.m. General sessions and workshops will continue throughout Monday and Tuesday. Check our conference website usw.to/RRconference26 for announcements on speakers, additional details, and instructions on how to download our conference app.
Wednesday, July 15 - Lobby Meetings/Closing Reception: In the morning, we will head to Capitol Hill for a day of fighting for our agenda and meeting with elected officials. That evening there is a special closing reception in appreciation of your hard work.

Registration and Registration Fee: Please pre-register online, by mail, or by fax before June 15, 2026. There is a registration fee of $300 per delegate. Checks should be made payable to USW Secretary-Treasurer. Please be sure to specify your shirt size on your registration. Although there is no guarantee for your shirt size at arrival, this will help us order properly.

Hotel & Air Transportation Information:

Hotel: A block of rooms has been reserved at the Omni Shoreham Hotel in Washington, D.C. Attendees should make their hotel reservations by calling the hotel and referring to the USW Rapid Response Conference. If you prefer to book online, a link is available at usw.to/RRconference26. The hotel will accept reservations until Tuesday, June 16, 2026. Our conference hotel always fills up, so to ensure availability, please make your reservations as soon as possible.
The room rate is single and double occupancy $259 a night plus tax, a triple occupancy $279 a night plus tax, and a quadruple occupancy $299 a night plus tax. A credit card will be needed to reserve the room. If a reservation must be cancelled, please do so 48 hours before arrival or your card will be charged. Check-in is 3:00 p.m. and check-out is 12:00 p.m. Hotel parking is valet-only at a discounted conference rate of $55 daily.

When calling, please identify yourself as a participant in the 2026 Rapid Response and Legislative Conference. Please call between 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. EST, Monday through Friday; otherwise, an after-hours transaction fee of $16.00 will apply if the call is outside of these regular business hours.

In accordance with our established policy, the International Union will not be responsible for the cost of delegate(s) participation. Your local union must bear any expenses for attendance, including airfare and hotel fees.

July 17, 2026 -> 2026 District Golf Outing - at Linden Hall in Dawson, PA

This year the USW District 10 Gold Outing will be held on, Friday, July 17, 2026, at Linden Hall in Dawson, PA.

For those that would like to come out for the day and not golf, the fee is $75 which includes hotdogs, beverages, and dinner. The United Steelworkers District 10 will be having our annual Benefit Run on Saturday, July 25, 2026. Proceeds benefit the March of Dimes (Giving Every Baby A Fighting Chance).

Ride begins at 10:00 a.m. at the USW District 10 Office at 1001 Ardmore Boulevard, Suite 200, Pittsburgh, PA. 15221
The Ride ends at Linden Hall at 432 Linden Hall Road, Dawson, PA. 15428.
Spend a great day riding, ending with a dinner, refreshments and prize drawings at Linden Hall.

NOTE: Pre-registration is REQUIRED for all riders and passengers by June 9, 2026.
There will be no registration on the day of the ride.

On Sunday, August 23, 2026, the Philadelphia Phillies will face the St. Louis Cardinals at Citizens Bank Park in Philadelphia, PA.

USW District 10 members are invited to attend the game as a group. First pitch is at 1:45 p.m. Tickets are available for purchase at $45 each and are located in Section 430.

District 10 Director Bernie Hall would like to extend a personal invitation to all guests to attend a tailgate party hosted by USW Local 12698. The party will be held the same day, beginning at 10:30 a.m. and continuing until game time. Food and refreshments will be provided.

The tailgate will take place at Parking Lot K, Pavilion K-17, located at 11th and Pattison Avenue (across from the ballpark).
