  • Registration begins at 7:00 a.m.
  • Donuts and Coffee from 7:00 a.m. - 9:00 a.m.
  • Prime Rib Dinner provided after shoot.
  • Prizes will be awarded to the top three teams as well as top scores for adults and youth and/or women.
  • Event size is limited to 120 shooters (30 teams).

Cost:

  • The cost for this event will be $420 PER TEAM (4 MEMBERS PER TEAM)
  • And includes ammunition, 100 targets, eye and ear protection, trapper guide services at each station and 4X4 carts.
  • Guns are provided, but you can bring our own if it meets requirements.

August 8, 2026 -> Picnic - East - Knoebel's Amusement Park Resort

District 10 is pleased to invite all USW members and their guests to join us for a day of fun at our District Picnic on Saturday, August 8, 2026, at Knoebel's Amusement Resort, located at 391 Knoebels Blvd., Elysburg, PA 17824.

Admission to the park and parking are free of charge. Brown & White Ticket Books will be available for purchase through the District in $20 increments. These ticket books can be used for rides, refreshments, games, and the pool, and operate on a pay-as-you-go basis. They may be shared among family and friends and never expire. Pre-purchased ticket books will be available for pickup on the day of the picnic beginning at 11:00 AM at Pavilion T6. Please note that ticket books will not be mailed prior to the event.

The District will not be providing food; however, you are welcome to bring your own picnic basket to enjoy lunch in our designated picnic grove at Pavilion T6. We will gather together at Pavilion T6 at 1:00 PM for prize drawings and a 50/50 raffle. Raffle tickets will be available for purchase on the day of the picnic.

If you wish to purchase ticket books in advance, please complete the order form and return it with a check or money order made payable to “USW District 10 Recreation Fund.” Payments should be mailed to: USW District 10, Knoebels Picnic, 1001 Ardmore Blvd., Suite 200, Pittsburgh, PA 15221. All orders must be received no later than Friday, July 24, 2026.

District 10 is pleased to invite all USW members and their guests to join us for a day of fun at our District Picnic on Sunday, August 16, 2026, at Kennywood Amusement Park, located at 4800 Kennywood Blvd., West Mifflin, PA 15122. We have arranged a discounted admission price of $35.00 per ticket for both adults and children. Children ages three and under are free and do not require a ticket. Both paid and free parking are available.

The District will not be providing food; however, you are welcome to bring your own picnic items and enjoy lunch in Pavilions 14 & 17 within the park. Please be aware that outside food is subject to park guidelines, including limits on bag size and restrictions on certain items. We will gather at Pavilions 14 & 17 at 1:00 PM for prize drawings and a 50/50 raffle. Raffle tickets will be available for purchase on the day of the picnic.

August 23, 2026 -> Phillies vs. Cardinals - Citizens Bank Park

On Sunday, August 23, 2026, the Philadelphia Phillies will face the St. Louis Cardinals at Citizens Bank Park in Philadelphia, PA.

USW District 10 members are invited to attend the game as a group. First pitch is at 1:45 p.m. Tickets are available for purchase at $45 each and are located in Section 430.

District 10 Director Bernie Hall would like to extend a personal invitation to all guests to attend a tailgate party hosted by USW Local 12698. The party will be held the same day, beginning at 10:30 a.m. and continuing until game time. Food and refreshments will be provided.

The tailgate will take place at Parking Lot K, Pavilion K-17, located at 11th and Pattison Avenue (across from the ballpark).

September 14 - September 17, 2026 -> Collective Bargaining - USW Headquarters

District 10 is pleased to announce a Collective Bargaining Seminar for Local Union members, which will be held at the USW International Headquarters on the Fourth (4th) Floor, located at 60 Boulevard of the Allies, Pittsburgh, PA 15222.

The course is scheduled to take place from Monday, September 14, 2026, to Thursday, September 17, 2026. Classes will run from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. each day, Monday through Thursday, and lunch will be provided to all participants.

Registration Fee for the course is $100 per person. However, Local Unions will be responsible for any lost time, travel expenses, and overnight stays if needed.

For your convenience, we have reserved a block of rooms at the Wyndham Grand Downtown Pittsburgh, 600 Commonwealth Place, Pittsburgh, PA 15222, for the nights of Sunday, September 13, 2026, through Wednesday, September 16, 2026. Check-out is on Thursday, September 17, 2026, by 11:00 a.m. The hotel is conveniently located just one (1) block away from the USW Building.

District 10 will offer a Next Generation - Level I Course for Local Union members at Linden Hall in Dawson, PA from Sunday, September 27, 2026, to Thursday, October 1, 2026. Registration is Sunday, at 3:00 p.m. followed by dinner at 5:00 p.m.andthere will be a Welcome Session at 6:00 p.m. Monday through Wednesday classes will be held from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., and on Thursday from 8:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m

Registration and Hotel Information: The registration fee for the seminar is $480 per personand includes room (double occupancy for Local Union members only), classroom materials, and meals. Please indicate on the registration form if there are members who prefer to share a room. All others will be assigned a roommate after registrations are received. If you wish to request or require a single room, the cost of the registration fee is $880 and subject to availability. The District 10 office will make the room reservations. For anyone not staying overnight at Linden Hall, the registration fee for the seminar is $200 per person for classroom materials and meals.This is subject to change.

District 10 will offer a Women of Steel Leadership Development Course - Level I for Local Union members at Linden Hall in Dawson, PA from Sunday, September 27, 2026, to Thursday, October 1, 2026. 

The course has been developed to give women the basics in unionism.

Registration and Hotel Information:The registration fee for the seminar is $480 per personand includes room (double occupancy for Local Union members only), classroom materials, and meals. Please indicate on the registration form if there are members who prefer to share a room. All others will be assigned a roommate after registrations are received. If you wish to request or require a single room, the cost of the registration fee is $880 and subject to availability. The District 10 office will make the room reservations. For anyone not staying overnight at Linden Hall, the registration fee for the seminar is $200 per person for classroom materials and meals.This is subject to change.

Class will begin at 9:00 AM and will end at 5:00 PM each day. Lunch will be provided each day. Please note that seats are limited and will be available on a first come, first served basis.

Registration: The registration fee is $100 per person. Breakfast and lunch will be provided.
