Financial Secretary

David Smith serves as Financial Secretary of USW Local 983 and brings 27 years of experience in the Pulp Mill. Throughout his career, he has also worked across all three paper machines, PSD, and C&A, giving him broad experience across the Augusta mill.

David is a member of the mill's Emergency Response Team (ERT) and has served as a Safety Captain. He has also been trained and prepared to serve as a Safety Advocate, adding to his experience in workplace safety and emergency response.

As Financial Secretary, David brings decades of mill experience and a strong commitment to safety and service to the membership.
