2026 USW District 9 Education Conference

USW Local 983 representatives attended the 2026 USW District 9 Education Conference, joining Steelworkers from across the district for several days of education, training, networking, and discussion focused on strengthening local Unions and improving representation for our members.

The conference offered workshops covering areas such as collective bargaining, grievance handling, labor law, local Union administration, organizing, Rapid Response, safety and health, financial responsibilities, civil rights, and other areas of Union leadership and representation.

Conference Highlights

Throughout the conference, delegates had opportunities to attend educational sessions, exchange ideas with other Steelworkers, connect with District 9 leadership, and learn about resources available to local Unions.

The conference also included general sessions, workshops, delegation activities, and a banquet as part of the scheduled program.
