A little piece of Labor history returned to Sheet Metal Workers Local 36

HISTORIC MEMORABILIA – A Sheet Metal Workers Local 36 ribbon from the 1918 St. Louis Labor Day Parade (front and back views top) found its way back to the union recently thanks to a local woman who discovered it in a box at a garage sale. “We’re adding it to our collection of antique memorabilia,” said Local 36 Marketing Director Jeff Bradley. “Dated Sept. 2, 1918, this is our oldest piece of Local 36 history.” The antique ribbon can be found in the memorabilia display case (bottom) at Local 36’s union hall and training center at 2319 Chouteau Ave. in St. Louis.  – Sheet Metal Workers Local 36 photos
