Deshonn Frankel

Deshonn has been very active in the union his entire career at Corning. Deshonn was onboarded at Big Flats on 7-day swing shift and came in eager to learn. He then bid into Diesel Finishing where he began stepping up as a Union Steward for his shift, attending monthly membership meetings, and asking the hard questions. Deshonn then joined the United Way of the Southern Tier Union committee becoming the Union Lead for the Diesel Plant. Deshonn spoke out asking the questions representing his members and educating them on the facts not the rumors. He is also an active committee member for USW Local 1000 Next Gen committee and has served on the Election and Trial committee for the local.
